A 3 Day Vacation Church School was conducted for the Dumagat children of Sitio Masla in the town of General Nakar, Quezon Province last May 19 – 21, 2015 initiated by the Ethnic Ministry of the Laguna District headed by Roy Robles of Pacita UMC with Bayan ni Hesus Pamayanang Katutubo Director Rev. Marven Chavarria also the pastor of Binan UMC. Deaconesses Nymfa Honrubia of Jesus Reigns UMC and Carol Pendon of Calamba UMC volunteered as teachers also with them is Pastor Vicent Pacto, associate pastor of Atimonan UMC and his brother Josue Pacto.
The Pastors also conducted Bible study for the Dumagat adult every night. Rev Chavarria also serve as the chief cook as his expertise and service for the activity. It is funded by the Cluster two churches composed of Calamba UMC, Sta. Rosa UMC, Binan UMC and Pacita UMC.
The Dumagat community which is around 30 families in Sitio Masla is around 20 kilometers from the town proper. The community is also a recipient of Indigenous education program of the Lyceum University of the Philippines.
