A win for STPPAC over PAC

STPPAC pastors wins over the PAC pastors in a basketball match organized for Manila Episcopal Area (MEA) by the office of the bishop held at the covered court of the Union Theological Seminary at Dasmariñas, Cavite last March 12, 2014 during the 6th session of the Philippines Annual Conference – Cavite.

Rev. DS Joseph Flores of Quezon District heads the 6 member team from STPPAC who we’re available at that time. They are composed of Pastor Cris Pera of Pinagbayanan UMC (Laguna), Rev. Nathaniel Francisco – associate pastor of Sta. Rosa UMC (laguna), Pastor Vincent Pacto of Lopez Mission (Quezon), Floramer Herradura amission worker of Alabat UMC (Quezon) and JC Flores the son of DS Flores. Inspite of their number everybody contributes to the games’ score with DS Flores contributes his 3 times 3 point shot.

The MEA wide basketball tournament was organized in the season of the annual conferences in MEA where pastors from different annual conferences meet for a basketball match. The first two games where held during the 6th session of the Cavite conference where the pastors and church workers of Quezon City Philippines Annual Conference (QCPACE) and Philippines Annual Conference (PAC) compete and also Southern Tagalog Provisional Conference compete also with Philippines Annual Conference. QCPACE wins over PAC and also STPPAC wins over the PAC.

The tournament aims to strengthen the camaraderie of the pastors between the annual conferences of the MEA. This was the second tournament of basketball for pastors after the sportfests held in the MEA Church Workers held in Baguio City last year.

Prizes will be provided by Bishop Rudy Juan including the MVP award. The next game is set on April 9 during the conference session of Bulacan Conference.
