The New First Woman DS of STPPAC

Photo0167Rev. Emellyn Dellosa is the first woman district superintendent in Southern Tagalog Philippines Provisional Annual Conference for Laguna District. She was appointed by Bishop Rudy Juan during the 6th session of STPPAC held at Atimonan UMC at Atimonan, Quezon last February 18 – 19, 2014.

Rev. Dexter Ceballos stepdown as DS and chooses to be a pastor and consider this as his personal choice and chosen calling. Rev. DS Dellosa came from Atimonan UMC and graduated from Union Theological Seminary with honors. She is currently assigned in Calamba UMC and still administer this church while being the DS.

Pastor Victor Diokno and Pastor Mirriam Chavarria were also commissioned and accepted as provisional members of the conference. Provisionary membership is the process to prepare them to be ordained. Pastor Vic, who is assigned in Quezon UMC is 10 years pastoring churches in Quezon Province. An undergraduate of of Marine Engineering but he attends Bible and theological courses. Pastor Mirriam is a first year student at the Union Theological Seminary taking up Masters of Divinity. She is currently assigned in Victory in Christ UMC in Binakayan, Cavite.The tow is expected to be ordained at least after three years.


Other newly elected officials of the conference were Pastor Cris Pera of Pinagbayan UMC as the new conference secretary. Gloria Fortaleza of Pacita UMC as the new auditor. She is the president of annual conference women. She was a certified public accountant and retired government employee.

The 6th Session of STPPAC was also the first time to be held in Quezon Province at Atimonan UMC. The next conference will be held at Pacita UMC at San Pedro, Laguna.
