The people called United Methodist from Laguna and from other places made themselves available in responding and giving help to the victims of heavy flooding brought by monsoon rains which was intensified by typhoon locally called “Maring” last August 19.
Again, most of the provinces of Luzon were hit by major flooding including the Metro Manila. Institutions and agencies of the United Methodist Church in the Philippines such as the Harris Memorial College and the United Methodist Committee on Relief, the denominations agency on disaster response and the local churches respond by giving a bag of goods to the victims.
Rev. DS Dexter Ceballos the new district superintendent of Laguna whose district is one affected by the floods coordinated help coming from other churches, districts and conferences and also from other institutions.
