UMCOR Phils provided relief goods to the community affected by the flood in Sta. Cruz, Laguna

UMCOR PHils volunteers and Laguna Church workers and lay people help distributing the relief goods for the flooded community in Sta. Cruz, Laguna last August 2012

The town of Sta. Cruz the capital of the province of Laguna once was flooded due to the typhoon Ondoy was again flooded in almost same heights because of the monsoon rain, again UMCOR Philippines distributed relief goods to the community last August 10, 2012.

Headed by Ciony Eduarte once again with her team which were composed of volunteers from the Philippine Christian University, Union Theological Seminary and also from the Presbyterian Theological Seminary distributed 150 bags of goods to the flooded community in Umboy in Baranggay Santisima Cruz which our church also is located.

UMCOR Philippines also gave relief goods to the evacuees in Baranggay San Roque in the town of Victoria, Laguna which were staying in an elemantary school nearby.
They were assisted by pastors and some lay people also with some young people from different local churches joined the distribution.

Most of the towns of Laguna especially the communities near the lake was affected by the flooding caused by heavy monsoon rains.
