Nine UMYF students of University of the Philippines in Los Baños, Laguna (UPLB) from different places and local churches and one pastor gathers for the first time this semester for a fellowship and devotion to start up a campus ministry last July 20, 2012.
It was organized by Rey Oliver Fabros, a UMYF from the town of Isabela who is currently enrolled in UPLB, and also a fellow UMYF UPLB student Halcyon Dawn Nicolas and scheduled the first meeting of UMYFers in the campus for prayer, devotion and for strengthening one another. Only through small posters with the UMC logo was the way they could reach any UMYF in the campus who like to join the fellowship.
The group had its devotion, group dynamics and planned for how the group will continue the fellowship including visitations and tp have fellowships with the local churches in Laguna and STPPACE UMYF.
Present in the fellowship is Alexis Parco of Atimonan UMC and an officer of STPPACE UMYF and Pastor Rowena Hular who serves as spiritual adviser and who was handling the congregation in Los Baños, Laguna.
This was not the first time the UMYF students were organized for fellowship. This was only the time that most of the former members of these fellowship have already graduated and two of them, Rey and his schoolmate remained and also remained to continue what they have started with campus ministry in UPLB.
