HimigLaya band – composed of young people of the United Methodist Church in Southern Tagalog, re-unites again for their comeback concert entitled “Plugged-in” this October. They plan to conduct their concert on Laguna and on Quezon Province.
They conducted a preview concert at an anniversary night of Binan UMC last September 25, 2011 and will participate in the “Talentadong Kristiyano” organized by evangelical churches for praise and worship teams and bands which is also scheduled this October.
The Himig Laya band was organized under the leardership of Bryan James Monterola a composer and musician and a former youth leader and youth worker. The band members are young people who come from different local churches whose passion is to praise and serve the Lord through music. It offers alternative Pilipino praise music which enriches Filipino worship. Himiglaya or “Rhythmn of Freedom” aims to liberate the souls through songs of praise and worship in the Lord as his Spirit moves to every true worshipper.
This coming concert will benefit the mission of the Southern Tagalog Provisional Philippines Annual Conference East.
