The 2nd Annual Conference Session of STPPACE held last May 17 – 18 at Tayabas, Quezon
The second annual conference session was succesfully concluded last May 17 – 18, 2010 held at now the Grace In Faith Temple United Methodist Church, formerly known as the Tayabas United Methodist Church at Tayabas, Quezon. It was attended by more than 50 delegates from the churches in Laguna and Quezon.
The Conference for the first time heared the maiden report of the two district superintendent namely, Rev Joel Capulong of Laguna District and Rev Dr. William Umipig of the Quezon District. Both district reported new mission opportunities in its first year as separated districts.
The venue which is the Tayabas UMC was renamed by the action of the Conference to Grace in Faith Temple or “GIFT” UMC because the property was truly by grace and in faith recieved from the Anacan family through Pastor Ramoncito Mision.
In this Conference, Pastor now the Reverend Joseph Flores of Quezon UMC was ordained elder and accepted full member of the Conference. He served for 18 years as local pastor and graduated from the Union Theological Seminary under the course of Master of Divinity.
Rev. Joe Vicente, pastor of the GIFT UMC, was appointed new district superintendent for the Quezon District.
